put forth their drive, determination and talent to make KFXM a legend!
We are proud to say that our former people have gone on to achieve remarkable
success in their professional pursuits. We are all very proud of our
history at KFXM and KDUO.
We keep Reaching

are now on the Website!
The "Doctor"
is in the House!
That's right, Doctor Don Murray has joined
his fellow Alumni on this Website. Also Doug Collins and Frank Markase
joined us and there's more on the way. Well, like I said, "were getting
new bios Almost Daily. And again this has rang true because we got another
three bios! The new addition of an online form appears to be working. After
being sent a email, a potential new bio contributor just clicks on the
link to this new bio form page. Once on this new page, all that has to
be done is fill-in the boxes and hit the "submit" button. I receive
the bio form by email and can prepare the new bio page immediately. It's
seems to be working because I got a few people that I've been waiting for
their bio info for a long time.

" What a Great Trooper!"
Chris
Roberts was in Seattle the weekend of September 30th doing the play-by-play
for the University of Washington vs. UCLA Bruins football game. He arranged
to meet with an old friend and former KFXM/KDUO Alum., Terry Corbell who
now lives and works in Seattle. While having breakfast, Chris mentioned
our new Website and explained everything. He invited Terry to contact John
Bunnell to get a bio sent to him. Less than 48 hours later, Terry's bio

Our Publicity is Working!

The recent article written by KFXM Alumni
member Terry Corbell for the Belo Media outlets has been a big boost fotr
our Website! When I asked Terry where the feature article and interview
with KFXM Alumn Chris Roberts was being published, Terry replied, "It’s
an online column – not
over the air – that I
write every week and submit to an editor at Belo, the 9th largest media
company in the U.S. and which owns many TV stations and newspapers (including
the Press-Enterprise, www.PE.com
(in Riverside, CA). All
the media outlets have Web sites (The Internet division is called Belointeractive.com).
You
happened to get the column on www.king5.com (which
is the Web site for one of the nation’s top NBC network affiliates
and which historically has No. 1 news ratings in Seattle). The others
include: www.nwcn.com
(a Web site for a 24-hour, multi-state news channel), and www.krem.com (the
site for a TV station in Spokane).
The three sites for which I write aggregately
get 650,000 to 700,000 unique visitors a month. I’ve written
about 250 columns since the beginning of 2001. …Now you know
the rest of the story…

If you look at the stats graphics (above)
you'll see how the article being released and the spike in our traffic
is cleary shown. The other thing that took place was Bob Gonsett of the
CGC Comunicator placed a reference to our Website in his email newsletter
today, Wednesday, October 11, 2006. We'll take all the free publicity we
can get. The increse in traffic can also be tied to our links on several

New Employee Search Page to Help Locate More Former KFXM/KDUO Employees
As the responses from former
KFXM/KDUO employees had tapered off, another exhaustive effort was made
to find even more former employees. The internet search engines were
utilized in an attempt to find our lost people. Searches using both the
persons on-air name and their real name was done in an attempt to find
them. Phone calls were made and fortunately we were succesful most of
the time. As a result, long lost KFXM people from the 1950's through
the 1980's have been located. Surprisingly, these people were located
as far away as Eugene, Oregon and Austin, Texas, South Carolina, Billings,
Montana and more locations.
Please go to the new People Search Page
and look over the names and possible locations to see if you might have
additional information. Something a simple as an email address, a city
and state location, a phone number or anything else that helps us narrow
down their location will get us intouch with them. There's a map on the
people search page that illustrates just how succesful we have been at
location our fellow former employees. To get to the new people search page
you can go to te navigation section on the left-hand column of the page

already taking place for an initial meeting with the director and
the committee chairperson of the San Bernardino Convention and Visitors
Bureau who is responsible for the Route 66 Rendezvous. Events. The
first contacts have already been made and the response has been very
positive.

We all can make the necessary plans for a possible KFXM induction into
the Route 66 Rendezvous."Hall of Fame".in September 2007.
A KFXM committee of people has been formed that is comprised of John Bunnell,
Jonny Bruce (former KFXM DJ), Tim Abney who is affiliated with the Route

Shelby, Les Richter (Riverside & California Speedways), Drag Racer "Big Daddy" Don Garlits and others.
This years event was held September

over 500,000 visitors.
The Route 66 is being sponsored by an old KFXM friend, Stater Brothers
Markets. This is a very significant historical event for KFXM and it's
legendary staff.
The induction into the Route 66
Rendezvous. "Hall of
Fame".
is a very special recognition given only to a person or organization who
has significantly contributed to the San Bernardino community over many
years. KFXM, in light of the March of Dimes Dances over so many years
and other charitable contributions, will make the consideration by the
S.B.C.V.B. a little easier. We will keep you informed here as to any
further progress.
