Frank Markase Bio

Frank Markase came to KFXM/KDUO from KHNY-FM in Riverside and was the chief engineer from September of 1976 until April of 1977.

Frank attended Tilden Technical High School, “general education plus four years of shop courses. Three of those years were spent in the electric shop. I was also in charge of stage operations for the auditorium.  I also attended Inland TV Training Institute studying TV theory and repair.”

After KFXM/KDUO, Frank worked at K/men, KMIR-TV in Palm Springs, Taft Broadcasting as a broadcast technologist, AFRTS at March ARB, and the Morris Desert Radio Group (4 AM and 3 FM Stations).

He is currently a free-lance engineer and technician.  Frank’s hobbies include collecting music (records and CDs) and movies (VHS, Laserdisc, DVD and 16mm Film). As he puts it, “I've already gone beyond Home Theater!”

Franks all-time favorite songs are Sherry/The Four Seasons, Rinky Dink/Dave Baby Cortez, The Mountains High/Dick and Dee Dee and Freeway of Love/Aretha Franklin.
