Jonny Then & Now

 

Jonny is another native Californian, born in Compton but raised in Sylmar and Canyon Country north of San Bernardino.

Jonny came to KFXM from KASK/Ontario in October of 1967.  His on-air shifts were midnight to 6am, 9am to noon and 10am to 2pm.

After KFXM, Jonny worked at KWOW in Pomona, KTLK/Denver, KKAR/Pomona, K/men/San Bernardino, CA, KROQ/Pasadena, KDIG/San Bernardino, KPRO/Riverside, KLOM/Lompoc (where he was program director), KZOM (Owner)/Stamford, TX, KPLM/Palm Springs,  and KEZN in Palm Desert.

He is currently the mid-day news anchor at KPSI/Palm Springs, and weekend fill-in on Oldies KDES-FM/Palm Springs.

His hobbies are 1950s-1980s rock n' roll and country music, 1948-1957 Hudson Automobiles and 1940s-1960s movies.

His favorite songs are How The Time Flies by Jerry Wallace and Another Time by Sagittarius.  His favorite artists are Jack Scott, Bob Luman, Jerry Wallace, Johnny and Dorsey Burnett
